Serving Veterans and the Community of Glenwood since 1919

The American Legion is built on a simple idea: veterans continuing to serve after the uniform.

Located in the heart of Glenwood, Iowa, Harvey T. Rimel American Legion Post 141 brings together veterans, families, and community members who believe in supporting those who served, strengthening our community, and honoring the legacy of those who came before us.

Whether you are a veteran looking for camaraderie, a family member interested in the Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion, or a community member seeking a place to connect — you are welcome here.

Join the Legion Family

The American Legion Family includes:

  • The American Legion – Veterans who served during eligible wartime periods
  • American Legion Auxiliary – Spouses, daughters, granddaughters, mothers, and grandmothers of veterans
  • Sons of the American Legion – Male descendants of veterans
  • American Legion Riders – Members of the Legion Family who share a passion for motorcycles while supporting veterans, community service, and Legion programs.

Together we support veterans, youth programs, patriotism, and community service throughout Glenwood and Mills County.
